The big-hitting but surprisingly accurate Brett Wetterich is perhaps the least known of captain Tom Lehman's American team.
A 12-year professional, Wetterich spent most of the first 11 years of his career struggling for consistency.
But having just scraped through qualifying school at the end of last season, he has enjoyed a superb 2006.
A first win came at the Byron Nelson in May and he then finished second three weeks later at the Memorial.
Wetterich, who was ranked 294th at the start of the season, has never played in a matchplay event.
Did you know? Wetterich, who started playing when he was two, missed a large chunk of the 2000 and 2001 seasons with a wrist injury.
