The 9th is a 200-yard par-three, with marsh front and left and three bunkers surrounding the green.
This hole is normally a five-wood for me, but it's not just the bunkers you have to be careful of, there is a steep drop-off slope on the left-hand side of the green that leaves you an extremely tough chip or putt.
Hoylake often has strong winds and I like to try to land the ball short of the green and let it run up to the hole.
