Here you are faced with a pretty much blind tee-shot, with the orchard in front of you, so you have to pick your line and go for it.
I am looking forward to the day that I can hit the ball far enough to carry the orchard with an iron but at the moment, even after a good drive, I am faced with around a 190-yard shot, which is normally a rescue for me.
There is a gorse bush left and a fairway bunker right. And there are four bunkers surrounding the green making the second shot tough.
The green has an uphill slope to start with and then flattens out making it tough to putt on.
YOUR HOYLAKE EXPERIENCES AND COMMENTS:
After marshalling on the crossing this week, it looks like the right hand fairway bunker on the eighth could see a lot of action over the course of the championship
