Furyk and Baddeley lead Heritage

America's Jim Furyk and Australian Aaron Baddeley share the lead going into the final day of the Heritage Classic in South Carolina.

Furyk, two shots clear at the start of the day, carded a three-under-par 68 for a 14-under total.

Baddeley hit 66 to keep alive his hopes of winning a first PGA Tour title.

World number five Ernie Els (65) is four shots back in a tie for fourth while England's Ian Poulter (72) is the highest-placed Briton on two under par.

South Africa's Els birdied three of the last four holes to card his second best round in eight appearances at Harbour Town.

"It was a fun day," said Els. "The last few weeks I haven't made my share of putts, although I've been hitting the ball quite well.

"Today I made nine birdies, and you've got to make some putts to do that. It feels like I don't have too many weaknesses in my game at the moment."

The day began well for Furyk, who picked up shots at the first and fifth before stumbling at the par-four seventh.

Furyk also bogeyed the par-four eighth after pushing his drive into trees on the right and hitting his second short of the green.

And after reeling off three birdies in a row from the 15th to forge one ahead, Furyk overshot the green at the last and was unable to save par.

Baddeley, 25, birdied three of the first five holes and dropped his only shot of the day at the par-four 11th.

England's Brian Davis is one over after a 75, while his compatriots Justin Rose and Greg Owen are two and three over respectively after 74s.
