Scotland's Mhairi McKay shared the lead with Italy's Diana Luna after both carded five-under-par 67s on day one of the ANZ Ladies Masters in Australia.

McKay, the 2003 Australian Open winner, fired seven birdies before bogies at the 16th and 18th spoiled her card.

Finland's Jenni Kuosa shot 68 and is one stroke clear of a group of five players at three under par.

Defending champion Karrie Webb (71) is four off the pace while England's Laura Davies (73) is two shots further back.

The $600,000 (338,200) event is jointly sanctioned by the European and Australian ladies tours.
