DiMarco win is bad news for Monty
Colin Montgomerie

Chris DiMarco has pushed Colin Montgomerie back out of the world's top 10 with his victory in Abu Dhabi.

The American rises to ninth with the Scot down to 11th. Sergio Garcia, third in the Middle East, is Europe's only top 10 player once more at sixth.

Runner-up Henrik Stenson, up to a career-high 28th, is to make his US Masters debut at Augusta in April along with fellow Swede Carl Pettersson.

The duo are among 30 European Tour players in the year's first major.

Italy's Edoardo Molinari, who last year became the first European to win the US Amateur Championship since 1911, is another of this year's debutants.

Montgomerie, Nick Faldo, Sandy Lyle, Ian Woosnam and Bernhard Langer are among the other Europeans playing.
