Spain's Sergio Garcia has catapulted overnight leader Miguel Angel Jimenez for a one-shot advantage after round two of the Omega European Masters.
Garcia had started the day a stroke back from Ryder Cup team-mate Jimenez but the former's round of 65 moved him to 11-under, just ahead of Jimenez.
England's Luke Donald rewarded European Ryder Cup captain Bernhard Langer as he moved into third place at eight under.
Last week, Donald was one of Langer's wildcard picks to face the USA.
For all the 26-year-old's efforts, though, the day belonged to Garcia, who sealed eight birdies and enjoyed the perfect end to a captivating round.
"It was very nice to finish that way especially with four birdies," said Garcia.
"I felt I played pretty solid all day. Some of the pins were quite tough and difficult to get to but I felt comfortable all day.
"I hit a couple of bad shots but they were only about three yards off."
Of the other leading contenders, Ernie Els is a little off the pace at six-under par.
