Stewart Cink celebrated his Ryder Cup wildcard by winning the NEC Invitational in Akron, Ohio.
Cink led from round one after a magnificent 63 - the lowest round of his career - and held off his rivals to claim the £660,000 first prize.
He finished with a level-par 70 for an 11-under-par total of 270.
Tiger Woods and South African Rory Sabbatini were four shots further back in second, with Lee Westwood and Alex Cejka the leading Europeans.
Cink was named last Monday as one of Hal Sutton's two wildcard picks for the US Ryder Cup team, along with Jay Haas.
Westwood was one of six players who booked his automatic place in the European team after his efforts in Ohio, where he finished joint ninth.
