Janice Moodie of Scotland and Becky Morgan of Wales both shot 70 to take a share of the lead after two rounds of the HP Open in Stockholm.
Annika Sorenstam could only manage a level-par 72 but remains two shots back on two under par, one stroke behind Karine Icher and two behind Carin Koch.
"Nothing works," said Sorenstam. "It's sad to play so bad when I'm home."
Swedish amateur Louise Stahle, the overnight leader, slipped back to two over par with a 75.
England's Trish Johnson is four off the lead after a round of 70, while defending champion Sophie Gustafson of Sweden failed to make the cut.
