Swedish amateur Louise Stahle took the first-round lead in the HP Open with a
faultless five-under-par 67 at Ullna Golf Course in Stockholm.
The 19-year-old British Amateur champion finished one shot clear of fellow Swede Emilie Svenningsson.
Seasoned professionals Becky Morgan from Wales, Scotland's Janice Moodie and world number one Annika Sörenstam finished three shots further back.
Stahle said: "I played with Annika at the British Open and she is inspiring."
Stahle, who carded five birdies just a week after her practice round with Sörenstam, added: "I learn just from watching her. She's my role model and I want to follow in
her footsteps."
Sorenstam said: "She practices a lot, we have the same coach and I'm
impressed with her.
"I think she has played really well over the last few
weeks."
