Rain hands Kung victory
Candie Kung
Torrential rain will never seem so bad again for Kung
Candie Kung was declared the winner of the LPGA State Farm Classic in Illinois after the final round was cancelled because of rain.

The 22-year-old from Taiwan had shot a one-under 71 in the third round for a 54-hole total of 14-under 202.

Kung joins Annika Sorenstam and Rachel Teske as the only players to win consecutive events this season.

Laura Davies will be most disappointed that bad weather disrupted the event after she produced a superb round to move into second on Saturday, just one shot behind Kung.

She had been seeking her first LPGA Tour win in more than two years, but did not get the chance to overhaul Kung.
