Sorenstam moves into lead
LPGA money leader Annika Sorenstam

Annika Sorenstam fired a four-under-par 66 on Saturday to take a one-stroke lead after two rounds of the Williams Championship in Oklahoma.

The LPGA money leader hit six birdies and two bogeys at the Tulsa Country Club to improve on her opening round 68.

I'm going to go out on Sunday and keep playing aggressive and not worry too much about the other players

Sorenstam birdied the 15th and 16th holes after dropping a stroke with a bogey on the par-three 14th following a disagreement with caddie Terry McNamara over club selection.

After reaching six under with the birdie on the par-five 16th, she parred the final two holes.

"I've always said I want to be leading," said Sorenstam, who has taken the lead into the final round 40 times, winning 23 of those tournaments.

"Tomorrow is a new day and anything can happen on this golf course. And if you look at the leaderboard, everybody is right there."

Canada's Lorie Kane opened with a bogey but followed with seven birdies for a six-under 64 to share second spot with Cristie Kerr.

The score was a career low for Kane, who will be in the final group with Sorrenstam on Sunday.

"I love playing with Annika," Kane said.

"She's the best player in the world and she always raises the bar. I've watched and learned from her.

"I have a huge amount of respect for someone who sets goals and achieves them and works very hard at being the best she can be."

Rookie Candie Kung and Scotland's Catriona Matthew are another stroke back at four under.

But surprise first-round leader Tracy Hanson endured a miserable round, carding a 73 to fall into a tie for sixth at three-under 137.
