Davies wins in Japan

Davies has enjoyed great success in Japan
England's Laura Davies has won the Itoen Ladies golf tournament in Japan.

Davies shot a two-under-par 70 on Sunday to claim victory by three strokes.

It was the 38-year-old Davies' fourth Itoen Ladies victory and seventh tournament overall in Japan.

Her nine-under-par 207 total secured the $90,000 (60,000) top prize.

Davies carded three birdies and one bogey on the 6,365-yard, par-72 Great Island Club in her final round.

Japan's Junko Yasui shot the day's best score of 67 and finished second with a four-round total of 210.

Yuri Fudo of Japan, who leads the money-earning list with 638,000, shot 69 and tied for seventh place with two other Japanese players on 213.
