Yokoo sets pace
Yokoo leads by one shot after the second round
Kaname Yokoo was the surprise leader after two rounds of the Disney World Classic in Florida.
The 29-year-old Japanese player, a PGA Tour rookie ranked 186 in the world, had a seven-under-par 65 in Friday's second round. His overall score of 13-under puts him one stroke ahead of American Jerry Smith. Davis Love III and Argentine Jose Coceres are on 11-under while Vijay Singh is a shot further adrift.
Tiger Woods, playing his first tournament since last month's terror attacks, shot a 67 to lie five strokes behind.
The cut was five-under-par 139, the lowest in the tournament's 23-year history. Yokoo birdied seven of his first 10 holes on the way to finishing at the head of the field. Meanwhile, for the second day in a row, Love did not drop a single shot in his round. His tee shot at the 18th hit a spectator and landed in the rough. He squeezed a five-iron shot through a narrow gap in the trees and then holed a 10-foot putt for a birdie.
