Padraig Harrington beat Sam Torrance 4&3 in the second semi-final of the Cisco World Match Play Championships at Wentworth.

The Irishman will play Ian Woosnam in Sunday's final after the Welshman beat Lee Westwood 10&9 in a one-sided match.

In contrast, Torrance and Harrington were all square after the morning 18 holes.

Torrance went into the lead with a birdie at the par-three 5th.

He went two-up when Harrington dropped the first shot of their match at the 15th.

But Harrington fought back to finish with three birdies and the score was all-square after 18 holes.

The Irishman began the second 18 holes by holing a 23-foot birdie putt to take the lead for the first time in the match.

He went on to win another three holes of the first six of the afternoon session.

The 48-year-old Torrance hit back with two birdies at the 25th and 26th but it was to be the Scot's final throw.

He dropped shots at the 31st and 32nd holes and looked visibly tired.

Needing to win all the remaining holes, he then put his tee-shot on the 33rd land under a bush in the woods.

He managed to hack out onto the fairway but lost the hole and the match.
