KP's rough guide to Britain

Kevin Pietersen caricature

'KP' gives his thoughts on why he loves Britain and being British as part of Radio 4's new topical comedy show Look Away Now.

You can listen to the show on Thursday evening (1830-1900BST) - and it is repeated on Friday (2300-2330BST). To find out more - and to win free tickets to recordings of the show - go to the Look Away Now website on the BBC.

Read 'KP's' blog below and listen to his thoughts on theatreland. Also on this week's show, 'Jose Mourinho' on his favourite subject - penalties, 'Michael Schumacher' gives some road safety tips ("Listen to my advice and you will live") and a David Beckham rap (listen above).

"Hello all you web browsing crazies out there! It's Kevin Pietersen here (Hampshire and England).

"Well, what an unbelievable week, eh? Not only have England won a game of cricket against an actual Test playing nation (in no small part thanks to an absurdly well-timed century by yours truly) but we're also embarking on the third episode of Look Away Now.

"What a blast it's been so far. I haven't actually listened to any of the episodes but it's bound to be reasonably good.

"This week I'll be talking about theatre I think. I can't really remember recording to be honest. It might be OK.

"Hey, guess what? Apparently our coach, Duncan Fletcher, has resigned. I just read about it in Heat magazine. Turns out that he announced it to us all during one of our training sessions and I hadn't even noticed.

"A lot of the time when the coach starts talking I just sort of zone out and this must have been one of those occasions. I mean, we're all wearing sunglasses. Nobody knows if you've got your eyes open or not. "Hello!
