David Beckham has been offered tips on penalty taking - by the coach of a boys' team involved in an amazing shoot-out.
Beckham's spot-kick miss against France cost England dear and Gary Tuhill reckons his players could show the national skipper how it's done - after putting away 46 in one game.
Tuhill's Beecholme Colts were involved in a marathon shoot-out with Woodley Saints Jaguars during an under-15 match in Surrey.
They eventually triumphed 46-45, in what is thought to be a new world record. Even more amazing considering the game itself finished 0-0.
Tuhill admitted the match was "boring", but things livened up in the penalty competition.
"Our fifth player missed, their fifth player missed and then after that it
went on forever," he said.
"Everybody scored until our goalie saved one with his leg. It was not so much the usual euphoria, it was relief when it came to an
end.
"All the boys' efforts were superb and we're thinking of sending the video to David Beckham - we're more than happy
to give him some tips."
Bet that'll cheer him up no end.
