Model gets her kit on
Michelle Marsh

Oldham Athletic have shown a lot of front in announcing their new home kit - by hiring a Page 3 girl to show it off.

Model Michelle Marsh posed for a series of photographs in the new, ahem, strip and a 100ft projection of her was beamed on to Oldham's tallest building at the weekend.

The giant image was flashed up on the Civic Tower ensuring fans returning from Saturday's victory over leaders Plymouth had more than the football to talk about.

A spokeswoman for the club said the stunt had proved very popular with supporters - particularly the men.

"It's fair to say Michelle was stoppping traffic," she said. "You could see the image for miles around."

The kit has gone on sale two weeks earlier than planned - although you can bet your bottom dollar the average beer-bellied supporter does not wear it quite so well.
