Before the Winter Olympics began, Ewan and Fiona MacDonald made a pact.

No nookie!

And it seems the husband and wife team, who are both British curlers, have kept to it so far.

Fiona, a Bank of Scotland account manager when she's not an Olympic champion, told BBC Sport Online: "We are very serious about it.

I went up to him after I won and he was just so pleased for me... but he'll have to wait for the other

"Whenever we have got a big match or a championship we abstain.

"We have to remain totally focused on curling."

So, after her gold medal triumph at Ogden Ice Sheet, was the 27-year-old in the mood for "celebrating" with Ewan?

She said: "I have hardly seen him during the Olympics. We've met a few times for a coffee.

"I went up to him after I won and he was just so pleased for me.

"But he'll have to wait for the other. I'll be with the girls tonight!"

MacDonald was also being supported by her father Martin Brown, dressed in his kilt and waving his British and Scottish flags, throughout the match.

She said: "I could hear people shouting out, cheering the team on, although I couldn't hear my father.

"But just to know he was here was fantastic."

Her elder sisters, Tara and Eildh, were watching at home, and so was 31-year-old brother Scott, who has learning difficulties.

MacDonald added: "He is my biggest fan and would have been loving it."
