win over Liverpool at Anfield - but the Hornets were relegated at the end of the season.
1948: Cricket legend Sir Donald Bradman was out for a duck against England in his final Test match innings. The Australian needed just four runs to finish with a Test average of 100. 1913: Snooker legend Fred Davis was born. He won the world professional title three times and won his first world billiards title in 1980, at the age of 67. |
