Super bloopers
BBC Radio's Rob Nothman has got together a collection of his favourite howlers - many of which happened live on air.

The eighth in the series involves veteran racing commentator Peter Bromley as he tries to get his head around the runners and riders.

'Horses for courses'

Peter Bromley is the doyen of BBC Radio sports commentators.

He's been the voice of all the big horse races for 40 years and more.

It is arguably the toughest commentary job in sport, having to identify jockey's silks through a pair of binoculars as 30 horses - sometimes more - thunder towards you.

Peter's stentorian tones have been endlessly reassuring, and capture all the excitement and drama of races like the Grand National and the Derby.

However, even the great man has moments of fallibility. Here he is recording a preview of a big race, and providing priceless material for the Super Bloopers series.
