Logan to take BBC presenting role

Logan has twice been named Sports Presenter of the Year
Gabby Logan will join the BBC in the New Year from ITV to present its new sports news programme.

The former Wales Commonwealth Games gymnast will also front a number of live sport events as well as working with BBC Radio Five Live.

"I'm thrilled to be joining the BBC at such an exciting time," said Logan, 33.

"The opportunity of working on the sports news programme (due to launch on BBC One by next summer) was one I just couldn't resist."

BBC director of sport Roger Mosey, said: "Gabby has an impressive background in sports broadcasting and she'll be a fantastic addition to the BBC Sport team."

Mark Sharman, director of ITV Sport said: "I would like to thank Gabby for all her contributions over the last eight years.

"We wish her all the best with the next phase of her career."
