Feedback for Your Game 2009

With four festivals down, this is what you have been saying about Your Game 2009.

CARDIFF

One of the best days out you'll have in a while. Truly an unforgettable experience!!
Daniel, Wales

Just a little thanks 2 all you who made it happen @ Cardiff. It was truly a great event with great atmosphere - same again next year.
Ali Abdi via Facebook

We were really pleased with how the Headroom chill out area worked, the therapists did a great job in helping a lot of the boys (and some girls) relax. It was amazing to see the difference on some of the boys faces after their treatment / listening to the relaxation track.
Sarah Lake, BBC Headroom.

Had a great day today guys, thank you to everyone who made Cardiff your game possible. You did a great job.
Simon Lu via Facebook

Thanks for the brilliant day we had at Your Game. All our learners had a great time and enjoyed taking part.
Sandra Thomas, Nacro Newport

We had a great day down there - met some top young people who were really in to what we were offering.. The set up overall was ideal for us, much more intimate, and effective at keeping all the young people in one place rather than a more spread-out set-up.
Neil, BBC Blast

It went well for us yesterday. Thank you for all your help and for the help from your colleagues who were all really keen to help us out in setting up and making sure that loads of people came to see us
Rob, Sports Leaders

The best event of it's kind I have seen.
Duncan, Sports Leaders

The event was great - a huge learning curve!
Linda Furness, NHS

Thanks for inviting us, we all enjoyed ourselves and hope that we get invited back next year
Andy McKay BAD Bikes

Really happy with how the day went. We've had a good number of enquiries and interest in our youth programmes so we're really pleased.
Ling Tan, UnLtd

A great event. So good to see all the young people involved in positive activities.
Robbo Ranx, 1Xtra

Thank you so much for having us, the girls and I had a great time
Academy All Stars cheerleaders.

HULL

I was in the goalkeeper for the 'The GAP Boys' team at Hull yesterday, came all the way from Newcastle to take part. Was a great day out and the football was awesome.
Lee Stewart via Facebook

Went to the tournament in Hull today. Damn...it was by far one of the best tournaments i've been to.
Carisa Mitcheson via Facebook

Everyone knows Hull as a football and rugby city, but there are some great individuals here. Sometimes that gets forgotten about with us being stuck at the end of the M62," he said.

An event like this is great for us. It brings it all together with the funding providers and the young people.
Neil Kelsey, Hull Stingers

GLASGOW

Thank for yesterday the boys had a great time and were absolutely delighted to pick up the trophy at the end of the day.
Gary Gibson, Rangers Community Coach

I would like to take this chance to congratulate you and the Your Game Team on a fantastic Glasgow event. I know my girls thoroughly enjoyed it and coming out as champions made the day taste all the more sweet.
Gillian Boyle, Eastwood High School

Congratulations on a well-run event, you have a great team and are strategically spot on with what you had on offer re funding opportunities and other links to our target groups.

Culture and Sport Glasgow (as well as providing the facilities) hope to have a bigger team presence and wider range of opportunities on offer next year if you were to repeat the event.

Thanks again for the opportunity to take part and again, congratulations on organizing such a positive event.
Jonny Hawes, Community Action Team Officer

The young people that we entered enjoyed themselves that much that they asked when the next one will take place and my colleagues at INCLUDEM found the stalls that were set up very helpful and informative.

I hope that as an organisation we would be invited to other events, workshops especially if it could involve our young people.
Guido Lovarini, Includem

Thank you for having us yesterday, we all had a fantastic time and loved the opportunity to be involved in such a great event!
Nicola, Blok dance troupe member

We thought it was a really good event and we spoke to 25 potential applicants, so it was worthwhile from our perspective.
Sam Howarth Big Lottery Fund

This was a fantastic event from start to finish and I found Your Game team was very supportive in providing initial information to final day

It was well organised event which provided opportunities for young people from various background to compete in a safe and friendly environment.

Active Life Club team really enjoyed a fun-packed day and are already planning for next year event to compete and come out as a winners.
Raze Sadiq, Chairperson Active Life Club

BELFAST

Great Day Today And Glad Your Game Came To Belfast!!!
Rachel, North Of Ireland

Just like to thank your game 09 for a wonderful day and the opportunity to play football against many people across the country it was a pleasure to do so was very well organised!!
Tony McCune, Northern Ireland

We as a group together really enjoyed the day we got a lot out of it in terms of funding and networking opportunities.

This event really gave me a boost in my role as a community youth worker and it also gave the young people i work with the opportunity to interact with other young people from different parts of Northern Ireland.

To see young people from both sides of the community here in Northern Ireland playing football together fairly and honestly without any hint of sectarianism or bigotry and also watching them interacting in the various workshops together on the day was excellent.

In terms of Northern Ireland, it's not often working class young people get the chance to participate in events like this.
Gareth Beacom, Regional Development Officer at Conflict Transformation Initiative

LONDON

Congratulations on the past event. I have to say this is officially the best one to date. Our women's team have been going to your games for 4 years.

It seems to us that you have taken on board the feedback from previous ones and keep making the changes.
Karima El Hajoui, Deputy Programme Manager, Bethwin S.E FC

The BBC YG demonstrated how everyone can enjoy the event, even if teams lose games, just like our group did, they can still have a great time.

The overall day experience was fantastic and hopefully we can bring over another group next year.
Ash Rahman, Academy Director, Pro Touch Soccer Academy
