Grassroots Grants Grassroots Grants is a £130 million government programme that aims to invest in a thriving community sector. The programme, which runs until 2011 is divided into two parts: an £80 million small grants fund for community organisations; and a £50 million endowments programme to enable local funders to generate additional donations on a matched basis and invest them in endowments, thereby building their capacity to provide long-term funding for frontline community organisations. It is funded by Office of the Third Sector and delivered by the Community Development Foundation.
Your Game v Match of the Day Ever wondered what it takes to get Match of the Day's Premier League highlights edited and on your screens just a few hours after kick-off? Two young people from each of 2009's Your Game festivals will get to find out as they produce their own version of the BBC's flagship football programme. On a two-day trip to London they will learn the skills required to put the show together before producing their own 15 minute version. To be in with a chance of winning this prize fill out a short application at this summer's festivals.
Mediabox Mediabox ran a filmmaking workshop and competition that has produced a number of sports-based films that will form part of the Your Game v MOTD show.
