Tottenham squad profiles
BBC Sport Online's guide to who's who in the Tottenham squad.

Neil Sullivan (Goalkeeper) Age: 32
The Scottish international was arguably the Premiership's best keeper last season. Briefly lost his place to Kasey Keller after a dip in form earlier this season, but now back as Tottenham's first choice.

Kasey Keller (Goalkeeper) Age: 32
The American arrived on a free transfer from Spanish side Rayo Vallecano and is now challenging Sullivan for the number one jersey. Made his name with Millwall and Leicester City.

Christian Ziege (Defender) Age: 29
Looking for a second-successive Worthington Cup winner's medal having scored in last year's penalty shootout for Liverpool. Signed in the summer, with Hoddle claiming Ziege was once the best wing back in the world. Made his name at Bayern Munich and AC Milan before joining Middlesbrough.

Mauricio Taricco (Defender) Age: 28
Argentine left-back who has enjoyed a prolonged spell in the side in the absence of Christian Ziege. A combative player whose tenacious style sometimes incurs the wrath of opposition players and managers.

Chris Perry (Defender) Age: 28
Experienced central defender who was signed from Wimbledon by George Graham. Makes up for his lack of height with excellent anticipation and agility.

Ledley King (Defender) Age: 21
King's outstanding form in the centre of defence has made the loss of Sol Campbell easier to bear for Tottenham fans. An astute reader of the game, tough in the tackle and comfortable in possession. King was set to play in England's recent friendly against Holland but pulled out with a virus.

Anthony Gardner (Defender) Age: 21
Tall, powerful centre-half signed from Port Vale in January 2000. Has impressed when called upon this season and looks set to form a glittering partnership with Ledley King at the heart of Tottenham's defence.

Dean Richards (Defender) Age: 27
Signed from Southampton for 8.1m after a protracted transfer saga. Richards is an astute defender capable of weighing in with goals. Hoddle has tipped him for a place in the England squad.

Tim Sherwood (Midfielder) Age: 32
Experienced central midfielder who captained Blackburn to the Premiership title. Was poised to move to Glasgow Rangers earlier in the season before a spate of injuries forced Tottenham to keep him. Has been outstanding since returning to Spurs first team.

Simon Davies (Midfielder) Age: 22
Exciting midfielder with devastating dribbling ability. The Welsh international is most at home in the centre of midfield but has been filling in at right wing-back in the absence of Stephen Carr.

Darren Anderton (Midfielder) Age: 29
"Sicknote" has been almost injury free this season and the result has been a return to the England fold. Anderton is undoubtedly an international class midfielder. He combines vision, dribbling ability and an impressive array of passes and has been Tottenham's fulcrum this season.

Gustavo Poyet (Midfielder) Age: 34
The Uruguayan moved from Chelsea for 1.5m in the summer after being squeezed out of the first team at Stamford Bridge. Has proved a big hit at Spurs with his effervescent performances and goals.

Oyvind Leonhardsen (Midfielder) Age: 31
The Norwegian's Tottenham career has been blighted by injury. Made his name as a goalscoring midfielder at Wimbledon and made a big-money move to Liverpool, but failed to make his mark at Anfield.

Matthew Etherington (Midfielder) Age: 20
Left winger who joined from Peterborough with Simon Davies in January 2000. Given few first-team opportunities, but has impressed when called upon.

Les Ferdinand (Forward) Age: 35
Enjoying an Indian summer after a couple of seasons blighted by injury. Has formed an excellent strike partnership with Teddy Sheringham this season, keeping Sergei Rebrov out of the side. An imposing target man and one of the best headers of the ball in the Premiership.

Teddy Sheringham (Forward) Age: 35
The experienced striker returned to White Hart Lane from Manchester United in the summer and has carried on where he left off. Brings team-mates into play and scores goals himself. His impressive form has earned a recall to the England squad and a place at the World Cup beckons.

Sergei Rebrov (Forward) Age: 27
Has endured a difficult time since his 11m move from Dynamo Kiev. Dislodged in the team by Ferdinand and Sheringham this season and frequently linked with moves away from Spurs.

Steffen Iversen (Forward) Age: 25
The Norwegian international joined Spurs in 1996. His immense promise has been tempered by a series of injuries.
