South Africa are unhappy at the recent reports suggesting they will not be ready to host the 2010 World Cup.
Danny Jordaan heads the organising committee and he has been angered by the "malicious speculation".
He told World Football: "It's the first time that any organising country of the World Cup is subjected to this kind of reporting over a 100 year period.
"It's a very serious project in re-constructing our country - building the nation from a brutal past."
Fifa president Sepp Blatter recently said again that 2010 World Cup would take place in South Africa short of a natural disaster.
You can hear more from Danny Jordaan and the South African view of 2010 World Cup project in this weeks World Football on BBC World Service at 0730 and 1130 BST on Saturday.
