Player Profile
The right-back made 19 league appearances as Mamelodi Sundowns finished the season in second place.
He joined his current club at the start of the 2008/09 season from rivals SuperSport, where he was a key factor in their 2008 title-winning campaign. Although predominantly a right-back, he has been known to fill in at centre-back and as a holding midfielder.
Once a central defender, he was advised in 2007 by his then-club coach Pitso Mosimane (now South Africa’s assistant coach) that a conversion to full-back would aid his international chances.
He was given his first cap by English coach Stuart Baxter and made one substitute appearance at the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations.
His favourite player is Barcelona and Brazil right-back Dani Alves.
