Player Profile
Krhin made his Slovenia debut against England at Wembley last September and went on to make his senior bow for Inter Milan the following week. His competitive international debut came as an 85th-minute substitute against San Marino a month later.
Just turned 20, he was a reported £7m target for Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea before agreeing a new contract with Inter at the turn of the year. Krhin was described by then Inter coach, Jose Mourinho, as having “everything a young player should have.”
Powerful, aggressive and with a good range of passing, he can play a variety of midfield roles, with Mourinho thought to believe his best position will be screening the defence.
Inter signed Krhin from his hometown club Maribor at the age of 16. Injuries disrupted his early progress in Milan, but the 6ft 3in midfielder was promoted to the first-team squad for the pre-season tour of the USA last summer.
