Player Profile
The central defender passed 200 career league appearances this season, his third with Gent, and helped the Belgian club qualify for the Champions League and win the domestic cup final.
Suler, who is asthmatic, spent the first six years of his career in the Slovenian top flight at Dravograd and then Gorica, where he won three consecutive league titles.
Highly self-critical, Suler is prone to lapses in concentration and admits he’s “never happy with himself.” He is fluent in English, which could come in handy for the group match against Fabio Capello’s side.
