Player Profile
Dzinic squeezed into the World Cup squad as fourth-choice central defender. His only involvement in Slovenia’s qualifying campaign was as an unused substitute in the first-leg defeat to Russia in the play-off.
Born in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Dzinic has spent his entire career in Slovenia with Maribor.
He played in all but two games as they finished as league runners-up in May, and has 129 league appearances in total. Dzinic is one of only two Slovenia-based players in the current squad, the other being fellow Maribor defender Suad Filekovic.
