Player Profile
First-choice left back for his country but has endured a frustrating season at club level, starting only 10 league games. Unable to displace Tunisian Yassin Mikari at Sochaux, Jokic joined Italian club Chievo on loan in January with the option of a permanent move. Forced to bide his time, he started the last four games in Serie A.
He began his professional career in the Slovenian second division before moving to top-flight Gorica in 2005 and winning the league title in his debut season. He moved to French side Sochaux for £1.5m in 2007.
He has played for Slovenia at every age level since turning 15. Held his own against Shaun Wright-Phillips and Aaron Lennon in September’s friendly at Wembley.
