Player profile

The 30-year-old was an unused substitute for all 10 of Slovenia’s group matches in the World Cup qualification campaign, but he made his debut in March as a 70th minute substitute against Qatar.

Seliga’s first season at Sparta Rotterdam has ended with relegation from the Dutch top flight. He was first choice throughout the campaign until losing his place on the final day of the regular season, remaining on the bench for Sparta’s subsequent relegation play-off.

Prior to his Rotterdam move, Seliga had spent all but one of his 13-year career with hometown club Celje. He made his first-team debut as a teenager and returned to the club in 2006 after starting only one league game in a season at Slavia Prague.
