Player profile
Obinna was top scorer in qualification with four goals but was mainly used as an impact substitute at this year’s Africa Cup of Nations. He was one of the outstanding performers for the side that reached the final of the 2008 Olympics, scoring three times. A quick striker, he can also play on the wing.
He spent the 2009/10 season on loan at Malaga from Internazionale, but he scored just four league goals as the Andalucian side narrowly beat the drop.
Obinna, who joined Inter from Chievo, nearly moved to Everton on loan in 2008 but could not obtain a work permit.
