Player profile
A creative midfielder who is one of the most skilful players in the Honduras squad, but can be guilty of doing too much with the ball.
His three international goals came in one week in September 2008, scoring both goals in Honduras’s 2-1 qualifying win in Canada and another four days later against Jamaica, which brought a 2-0 victory.
Nunez grew up in the US, graduating from High School in Dallas. He went on to play for Dallas in the MLS and also had a season with Chivas USA before moving to Honduras with Olimpia in 2008.
His good international form earned him a successful loan move to Mexican first division side Puebla last year, where he scored five goals in 20 appearances.
