Player Profile
The younger brother of star midfielder Wilson, Johnny Palacios is a tall centre-back who was called up for the key World Cup qualifier in El Salvador.
He didn’t disappoint, helping keep a clean sheet in the 1-0 win.
Palacios plays for Honduran champions Olimpia, as did his youngest brother Edwin, who was kidknapped in 2007 and found murdered 18 months later.
Palacios was linked with a move to Wigan last season and Latics manager Roberto Martinez is believed to have sent a scout to watch him play.
Should he impress in South Africa this summer, he may well follow Wilson into the Premier League soon.
