Honduras can cause a lot of problems with their attacking down the left flank because of the pacey prowess of left-back Izaguirre. As well as being a good crosser, he also likes to cut in diagonally towards the box.
One of Honduras’ best home-based players, he had a trial with Ipswich Town in 2008, accompanying them on their pre-season tour of Northern Ireland. He is currently with Honduran side Motagua.
Izaguirre was part of the Honduras team that played in the 2005 Fifa World Youth Championship in the Netherlands.
He will hope it is not an omen for this World Cup - Honduras lost 7-0 to Chile in their opening game and 3-0 to Spain. They finished bottom of their group with no points and no goals.
