Nicknamed ‘Eboue’, after the Arsenal and Ivory Coast player, his rampaging runs from right-back made him a star at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations. This came just months after he was part of the victorious Ghana teams at the 2009 Under-20 World Cup. He featured heavily in the later part of qualification for South Africa and will battle it out with John Pantsil for the right-back slot.
He finished his first season with Basle as a league and cup Double winner having finalised a deal to move to the Swiss league from Asante Kotoko in April 2009.
When Inkoom got to meet his hero Eboue in 2008, he received some advice from the Arsenal man including work hard, train at the beach to improve speed, avoid alcohol and be careful of women.
