Algeria’s captain is the most-capped player in the squad. A France-born dual national, the defensive midfielder struggled for playing time in his fourth season with French top-flight club Lorient. He suffered a torn hamstring early in the campaign and only started nine games.
Mansouri has spent his entire career in France, with the exception of a loan spell at Coventry in the first half of the 2003/04 season.
He made 15 appearances but his year-long deal was terminated by Coventry when he reneged on an agreement that he wouldn’t play in the Africa Cup of Nations. He left parent club Le Havre a few months later and spent two seasons in the French Second Division with Châteauroux. He has made 310 career appearances in the French league.
Mansouri is out of contract this summer and says he could return to play in England after revealing he came close to signing for a Premier League side in January. He was linked with a move to Burnley during the transfer window.
