World Cup 2010: Netherlands thrash Ghana in friendly

Netherlands players
The Dutch outclassed a disappointing Ghana side

The Netherlands proved too good for Ghana in a friendly, handing the Black Stars a 4-1 thrashing.

Asamoah Gyan scored for Ghana midway through the second half but by then Dirk Kuyt and Rafael van der Vart had given the Dutch a 2-0 lead.

Wesley Sneider and a Robin van Persie penalty then gave the scoreline a flattering look in Rotterdam.

Ghana face a friendly against Latvia on Saturday prior to their World Cup opener against Serbia on 13 June.
