Togo 'agree World Cup money deal'
Togo's national side
Togo play South Korea in their opening game
Togo's football federation claim they have reached an agreement with its players over their World Cup pay.

But federation spokesman Messan Attolou said it falls short of their initial demand of $200,000 (£107,000) per player, for reaching the tournament.

"We have reached an agreement. The players will get their money," he said.

Attolou declined to comment further and said the exact detail would be explained on Wednesday. Togo are in the finals for the first time.

Players had asked for an additional $38,000 (£20,000) each per win and $19,000 (£10,000) per draw.

Togo are ranked outsiders in their World Cup debut, having failed to score a single goal at this year's African Nations Cup finals in Egypt.

The West Africans are due to play a German side on Tuesday before their first World Cup match against South Korea on 13 June.

Their other Group G opponents are Switzerland and France.
