I don't care how daft Crouch's robot dance is, I just hope I see the silly dance another six or seven times in the next month - so go on Peter, dance away, and we'll all join you if you score in the final.

Once again we proved we can't play with Lampard and Gerrard in a four-man midfield. It seems every Englishman in the country bar Sven can see this.
1625: The Truth hurts init, from our 606 message board
England should be very worried - Owen was largely ineffective and the Gerrard/Lampard midfield combination didn't do much.
1620: CptSensible, from our 606 message board
Only question mark for me is over the match fitness of Michael Owen. A lot of time he got on to the shoulder of the last man and then just got out-paced or nudged off the ball.
1615: SuperIgorBiscanUsedToBeAtrocious, from our 606 message board
Crouch is on form, has confidence and is scoring more goals than Owen. If you are going to play one upfront, then it has to be Crouch with Gerrard playing off him.
1602: benwahballs, from our 606 message board
Crouch was simply outstanding today and must start for the world cup.
Anyone who doubted him should be embarassed now. He's not just proved himself he's shown he's a key player for England and that Crouch and Owen up front is a must.
1600: Hampshirecityfan, from our 606 message board
Hats off to Crouch - he did score three impressive goals and play very well in my opinion, but I'm not sure about his penalty. He's not quite Thierry Henry just yet. Maybe he should stick to what he knows he can do well. Like holding up the ball, using quick feet and dancing...
1555: Found-23, from our 606 message board
Crouch has been a star for England and I admit I did have my doubts about him being able to contribute for England.
He would deserve to be 'man of the match' again after this game, BUT I don't think I would like to see him take anymore penalties for England if it ever came to the penalty shoot-out.
1554: ArcticMonkay, from our 606 message board
Peter Crouch might not be pretty to watch but he is effective. I think the fact that he is underestimated allows him to do so well. I'm pleased he got a hat-trick!
1553: disillusioned devongeordie, from our 606 message board
Let's just hope, after soundly beating the drums of the reggae boys, we haven't peaked too soon. We've also got to hope that we don't expect the same lie-down attitude from the Paraguayans!
1550: Fry, from our 606 message board
If everyone is fit - play Crouch and Rooney
1545: zatknight, from our 606 message board
There is nothing I have seen in this display or the last game to suggest England are potential World Cup winners.
1540: Leaburn's Shins, from our 606 message board
Why on Earth hasn't Walcott, Defoe or Johnson been introduced yet? What's the point in having reserve strikers when Sven doesn't even use them?
1535: motaboy, from our 606 message board
Is Gerrard actually playing?! I don't think I've seen him do anything all match!
1530: BistoMagic, from our 606 message board
England must sacrifice an attacking player for more balance. Against the big boys we would come under to much pressure. Maybe on one occassion we could survive but Germany, then Argentina and then Brazil.
1520: richard_121, from our 606 message board
Can Sven not see that unless he puts Carrick in as an anchor man Gerrard's whole game is taken away because he's having to spend to much time right in front of his defence.
1515: Dutchspur, from our 606 message board
We need Lennon to come on and kill their defence with pace - Owen up front, ball across box will be deadly,
1507: adrian2700, from our 606 message board
I'm glad you don't manage England (Pukel-man). England are a team which plays well 4-4-2 with a big man (Crouch) and little man (Owen) up front. And when it comes to Beckham, I can't believe some people don't think he should play. He has been an amazing influence in the England squad past, present and will be in the future.
1458: Pukel-man, from our 606 message board Crouch has proven himself invaluable as a focus for attacks and a threat from set plays. But unless we drop Owen (who has limited fitness) to the bench and switch to the 4-5-1 with Crouch up front, we won't have much chance at the WC
1455: triskai, from our 606 message board
If anybody still doubts whether Peter Crouch is good enough, it might be time to emigrate? An absolutely quality player (I'm a Spurs fan, so no bias)
1452: the_end, from our 606 message board
I said before that playing Crouch would be a good idea, and he hasn't disappointed. Scored one goal and was part of setting up another. It's been a good England performance so far and hopefully they can continue playing like this into the second half.
1445: Guru Roghan Josh, from our 606 message board
Would like to see Lennon and Walcott given a chance in the second half.
1441: badgerhillbillies, from our 606 message board
Great team work at the moment , especially from Crouch and Owen. 10-0 who knows. GO ON ENGLAND.
1440: englishfootball, from our 606 message board
Excellent goal by Owen who rounded the keeper and placed it in an empty net to make it 4-0.
1440: The Pain, from our 606 message board
This is not ideal preparation before the World Cup. Sure, it's a good confidence booster but they needed to be tested a bit and the two warm-up games have been played against poor defences.
1440: AdamTheVillain, from our 606 message board
I'm slightly concerned about the fitness of the England players - Cole, Beckham, Terry all got slight knocks.
1437: ronant, from our 606 mewssage board
This is pretty easy stuff isn't it?! Nice to get a bit of confidence into the players but I don't think it'll ever be as easy as this in the World Cup!
1434: englishfootball, from our 606 message board
3-0 up after 28 minutes it's all going for England today - two own goals mind.
1433: LPArsenal, from our 606 message board
I find it laughable that Terry tried to claim that goal. He's also looked a bit dodgy in defence. He can't seem to replicate his form for Chelsea when playing for England.
Beckham's crosses are looking good, when Owen looks sharper again and gets his sense of positioning back it will be a lethal combination.
The two Coles seem to be linking up well.
1430: clarkbpo, from our 606 message board
This is drivel. The Jamaican's are the football equivalent of the Mexican roadsweepers that Naseem Hamed used to wheel out and knock over with one punch. This tells us nothing about how England will fare in the next few weeks.
1426: Cold War Kid, from our 606 message board
John Terry again?! Who needs forwards when you have scoring machines in midfield and defence?
1425: Jose's Champions, from our 606 message board
Great delivery by Beckham (for the second goal) - his 30th assist.
1420: tcfdepor, from our 606 message boards
Carragher should partner Terry. Ferdinand is not good enough. Unfortunately G.Neville is the best England have for right back so he's got to play. Defence is a bit dodgy but midfield should make up for it. J.Cole is a bit lightweight, gets pushed off the ball too easily, needs to get stronger.
1410: Toony-fromToon, from our 606 message boards
Good goal, nice work from Frank Lampard
1340: sabertooth2006, from our 606 message board
I would like to see Walcott get 20 minutes at the end of today's game simply to see if he can play at international level, even this level that Jamaica will bring.
1335: mechkov, from our 606 message board
I'm not sure playing Walcott would do much but raise (or more likely deflate) our expectations too early. The kid is getting used to playing with the squad and dealing with himself and his state of mind for his unprecedented position in a World Cup squad.
1330: coalvilletrickytree, from our 606 message board
Owen needs a few goals before the World Cup starts - this is an ideal game for him as no flying tackles will be made. Crouch is playing well, so England to win 3-0
1320: the_end, from our 606 message board
Crouch deserves a start because he has proved his critics wrong recently by scoring in his last two games. Plus England's first WC opponents, Paraguay, are a very weak aerial side and Crouch would pose a big threat against them.
1310: TomLock23, from our 606 message board
Walcott should have started - unless he is tried and tested before the WC, I can't see Sven using him so he is just taking up a place which could have been filled by someone more experienced - Johnson, Bent, Defoe?
1300: Millwall_Lad1, from our 606 message board
Crouch has started to perform and Owen needs someone to partner him upfront. Carragher is also decent cover for Neville.
