Parreira waits on Brazil future

Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira insists he will not be rushed into making a decision about his future.

His position is under scrutiny after Brazil's World Cup quarter-final exit at the hands of France.

Parreira plans to hold talks with Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) president Ricardo Teixeira.

"I will only make a decision after talking to the CBF president because of the friendship I have with him," said 63-year-old Parreira.

"Everybody is sad but I doubt anybody is more sad than me. It's part of life, part of the game, to lose or to win, and France prepared for it very well."

Parreira, who led his country to their 1994 World Cup win, is in his third stint in charge of Brazil.

Even if he does not retain the top job, he knows winning the World Cup again in South Africa next time around is crucial.

"The game will be marked in our minds until Brazil win another World Cup, which I hope to happen in 2010," he added.
