There are several new exciting features on our dedicated website for the tournament, as well as comprehensive news, live coverage and enhanced statistics. And there's more coverage on our text and mobile services...

bbc.co.uk

Match reports, live minute-by-minute clockwatches, latest news and reaction remain key components of the website's output around all the World Cup matches.

In addition there are stats, venue guides and expert analysis.

But there will we will be more innovative, interactive content on offer this summer and BBC matches will be broadcast live on the website to UK broadband users.

In addition there will be four-minute highlight packages from every single game of the tournament on demand.

bbc.co.uk WORLD CUP MODE
The bbc.co.uk homepage will be available in 'World Cup mode' during the tournament, with users able to customise whether they want permanent World Cup links or alternate content

Viewers will be able to give their own Player ratings for each match.

This can be done during the action via the website or a mobile phone and the overall results will be published on the site and feed in to the television coverage.

And the very popular Mini Motty, the desktop news pop-up of John Motson, returns.

Also returning, but improved for 2006, is Virtual Replay, the 3D-style recreations of key moments from every match.

Users will be able to watch animations of all shots and goals from each of the World Cup matches after they happen, as well as different camera angles and an 'as live' experience while the match is being played.

Score predictor allows users to keep up-to-date with the latest permutations in the group stages and plot a course to the final for their team.

Public participation also extends to a World Cup blog which will invite you to experience the tournament through the eyes of our BBC reporters at the tournament, two of whom will be driving around Germany in a camper van.

Fans will also be able to send in their World Cup-related photos from around the world.

You can win a top prize by taking part in World Cup Daq, the virtual shares market based on the tournament's stars.

Prizes are also on offer in the Goalfinger quiz an interactive competition based on World Cup trivia tied into Five Live on-air coverage.

There is a keepy-uppy competition for kids to show off their skills.

And you can relive the action from yesteryear with classic clips in our video archive section, while also following a daily video update of news and extra footage not seen on TV.
