1700: Saint no Stopping Us Now
Ghana will be a tough nut to crack in this game, but if the Czechs play anywhere near as good as they did in their opening game, there will only be one winner.
If Rosicky continues the form of the first game he could well be player of the tournament. I predicted the Czechs to be the first big name casualty in this years World Cup, but if their performance in the first game was anything to go by, I take it all back!
Just what the World Cup needs a bit of unpredictability! I hope Ghana can keep this lead and maybe improve! We need more shocks!
1520: Tiger Soup
Rosicky is quality... the match is all about counter attacks by Ghana and attacking build up by the Czechs...fantastic game!
The speed with which Rosicky runs at defenders is amazing. Having said that Ghana have done a great job at closing down space for the Czech midfield.
1535: Dark Side of the Smog
Ghana look too strong and too quick for the Czechs.
Ghana - I'm getting that "Could regret those missed opportunities" feeling.
African teams usually have always the same problem of tactical inexperience or of not being able to turn domination into goals..like ivory coast...they dominated Holland but lost...until they can begin to win close games they will always be promise but never deliver. In reality we have been waiting for the big African breaktrhough since Cameroon in 1990...
1803: Ronaldo's spare tyre
I'm not sure its bias, just shoddy and inconsistent refereeing. Especially if you compare Essien's booking to the foul by Nedved on Addo earlier in the first half. Nedved's foot caught him chest high, yet no booking. I have to agree that teams should be allowed to appeal, especially when suspensions to key players in latter stages could potentially harm their teams' chances of progressing.
It's good to see Ghana leading and still attacking. If you look at all the chances, it could have been more.
1830: Man in Thailand
Is it just me, or are the Czechs showing signs of frustration, and a tad of desperation?
1835: BiskotThe Ghana defence is much better without Sammy Kuffour. Am I the only one thinking this? More so, they are better organized today, but still too wasteful upfront.
1840: BluevaioUnbelievable, Ghana beating Fifa rank 2. And yesterday it was Angola drawing Fifa rank 5.
1842: RooneyRooneyRooneyIf the Czechs come back in this game, they can thank Cech. Granted Ghana have missed plenty of chances but Cech has saved them plenty.
Go, Ghana, go! I do dearly love to see an underdog win.
See! No one believed me on here yesterday! I said Ghana had alot more to offer and will reach the 2nd round! Are you laughing me down now! Italy had too much for them, but you could tell they were class.
1910: Sydney Bluenose
Ghana were superb and in particular Essien simply overwhelmed the Czechs, one missed penalty and many brilliant saves by Cech, it could have been a cricket score. Great stuff
