86 mins: Iwan Roberts replaces Hartson in the Wales attack.

80 mins: The substitute has an immediate effect, following up after Jones saves Leonhardsen's effort. The ball falls to Helstad and though his first effort comes back off the post he follows up to make it Wales 1-1 Norway but injures himself as he collides with the post.

78 mins: Helstad replaces Bakke for Norway.

67 mins: Outstanding play from Ryan Giggs on the left ends with a deep cross that Hartson tests Olsen with.

66 mins: A good move by Wales ends with Giggs glancing a header wide from a Blake cross.

60 mins: Gary Speed's left wing cross is met by a powerful header from Nathan Blake which rockets into the top corner to give Wales a 1-0 lead.

59 mins: Tore Andre Flo replaces Steffen Iversen.

58 mins: Ronny Johnsen is shown the yellow card for a late challenge on Mark Delaney.

55 mins: A mistake by Bjornebye presents Giggs with a chance but he opts to pass rather than shoot and Berg clears the danger.

51 mins: Leonhardsen blasts the first opportunity of the second half over after Bakke flicks-on Basma's cross.

41 mins: Hartson has the ball in the net but he is ruled narrowly offside from a Giggs right wing cross.

39 mins: Superb play from Nathan Blake creates an opportunity for Giggs but he shoots into the side netting.

37 mins: Solskjaer sets Leonhardsen free but the Tottenham man dwells on the ball and then sees his effort well saved by Jones.

35 mins: Bakke is shown the yellow card for a foul on Nathan Blake.

32 mins: Following a Norwegian break Solskjaer should put the visitors ahead but from Iversen's cross the Manchester United striker can't keep his header down.

31 mins: Iversen drives a right-footed effort a couple of yards wide of Jones' effort from 20 yards.

29 mins: Solskjaer gets away on the Norway right but sees his first effort well blocked by Page and then Jones gets down to block his second strike.

21 mins: Giggs squares the ball into the path of John Hartson but he miscues his right-footed effort well wide.

17 mins: Mykland's free-kick from the right comes off Robert Page and Jones makes an excellent reflex save. From the resultant corner Basma flashes a header across the face of the Welsh goal.

14 mins: Stig Bjornebye's corner is met by Henning Berg at the far post but his header is deflected into the side-netting by Mark Delaney.

13 mins: Steffen Iversen's cross from the right is met at the near-post by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but his effort is blocked at the expense of a corner by Andrew Melville.
