All the action, minute-by-minute, from Scotland's 2-0 against Belgium in Brussels.

2 mins: Neither side can string any meaningful attack together as the midfields dominate.

3 mins: Don Hutchison is penalised for leaning on defender Glen de Boeck inside the Belgian box.

7 mins: A promising Gary Naysmith run is ended by a good tackle from Nico van Kerckhoven.

10 mins: Eric van Meir is booked for a rash challenge on Don Hutchison on the half-way line.

12 mins: Belgium look to have established their rhythm and begin to mount pressure on the Scottish defence.

13 mins: Matt Elliott deflects Wesley Sonck's shot some 16-yards from Neil Sullivan's goal. The home side are beginning to exploit space in front of the Scottish defence.

17 mins: A powerful 30-yard strike from Marc Wilmots is deflected by his own player, Wesley Sonck, just wide of the rooted Sullivan's left-hand post.

19 mins: Sonck, in the thick of the action, heads just over the crossbar after Scotland fail to clear a deep Belgian free-kick.

25 mins: A long ball from Craig Burley finds Tom Boyd in plenty of space on the right side of midfield, but his cross is easily cleared.

He calmly slots the ball past Sullivan from 15-yards for the first goal of the game. Belgium 1-0 Scotland.

27 mins: Goal. Johan Walem finds Wesley Sonck, who threads a fine ball through to Nico van Kerckhoven unmarked on the left side of midfield.

33 mins: Scotland earn their third corner in as many minutes, but cannot break down the stoic Belgian defence.

36 mins: Johan Walem is dictating the midfield, intelligently using the ball to find spaces behind the Scottish defence.

39 mins: Geert Verheyen fires straight into the arms of Neil Sullivan from distance.

41 mins: Matt Elliott makes yet another important intervention when he heads away a dangerous Walem cross from the left side of the Scottish box.

43 mins: Careless defending from Christian Dailly almost leads to Belgium's second, but Neil Sullivan makes a fingertip save to deny Geert Verheyen.

48 mins: Wesley Sonck fails to connect with a cross from the left. He claims his shirt was being pulled.

50 mins: Scotland are on the back foot as the home side start positively, with the impressive Johan Walem pulling the strings.

52 mins: The lively Wesley Sonck fires a 20-yard shot well wide of Neil Sullivan's goal.

56 mins: Belgium fail to capitalise on a three-against-two situation as Geert Verheyen fires over.

But Spanish referee Manuel Gonzalez signals for a corner, much to the frustration of the Scottish players.

69 mins: Geert Verheyen hits the post with a header from a pacy cross from the right. Luckily, the ball falls to a Scottish defender.

71 mins: Johan Walem is booked for a crass challenge on the lively Scott Booth, who has added extra verve to the Scottish front line.

73 mins: Belgium fail to clear a deep Craig Burley free-kick and keeper Geert Vevlieger has to claim a high ball to clear the danger.

74 mins: Craig Brown decides he needs more fire power to search for the all-important goal. He introduces Colin Cameron up front.

76 mins: Bart Goor fires a powerful 25-yard strike wide of Neil Sullivan's right-hand post.

78 mins: As Scotland press forward in search of the elusive equaliser, Belgium exploit the spaces left behind. Neil Sullivan saves well from a stinging Johan Walem drive.

81 mins: Bob Peeters replaces Wesley Sonck, who receives a standing ovation from the home crowd, while Scotland bring on Jackie McNamara for the last nine minutes.

86 mins: Scotland look ragged and Wilmots shot is desperately cleared by Matt Elliott for a corner. Johan Walem is replaced by Timmy Simons.

89 mins: Keeper Geert Vevlieger collides with defender Glen de Boeck, but the spilled ball is quickly reclaimed by the keeper.

92 mins: Goal. As Scotland push almost every player into the Belgium box, the home side break and Bart Goor side foots his side's second goal. Belgium 2-0 Scotland.

93 mins: Referee Gonzalez blows up for full-time as Belgium celebrate victory, while the Scots trudge dejectedly off the pitch.
