Waddle's England verdict
England's starting 11 for the clash with Mexico
Waddle believes the same 11 should start in Greece
Former England winger Chris Waddle tells BBC Sport that England's awesome first-half display against Mexico will have worried Greece.

Sven Goran Eriksson surely has to go with the side that started against Mexico when England head for Greece on 6 June.

McManaman coming in for Heskey is an option and Wes Brown could start at right back if he is fit.

Gary Neville and Wes Brown were probably the first choices, but Phil Neville did his chances no harm with his performance.

But if Eriksson keeps mostly to that starting side and England play anywhere near as well as in the first half, then I think they will beat Greece and beat them comfortably.

The second team that played had a lot of inexperienced players who looked nervous.

But when any team goes in at half-time 3-0 up the game is more or less over.

Mexico were playing for pride and, apart from a wonderful Sheringham free kick and a couple of chances for Smith and Joe Cole, England had little to offer in the second half.

But players were given experience and it was a nice night, though the opposition was very average.

Whatever Eriksson is doing, he is doing something right. He seems to be putting confidence into the team.

Eriksson has a lot of variations and that is exactly what you want

The nucleus of the England team is made up of three teams; Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool. They are three teams who are good at home and in Europe and that is a good basis to work on.

Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler are combining well together now.

When they first played together, they were very similar but they now know each other's strengths so well.

England also have Emile Heskey to come in and Teddy Sheringham is very fit and still has two years in him.

Eriksson has a lot of variations and that is exactly what you want.
