All the action from Hampden where 10-man Belgium come back from a two-goal deficit to earn a point in a crucial World Cup 2002 Group Six qualifying match.


2 mins: After some early Belgian pressure, Craig Burley breaks free on the right and crosses for Billy Dodds to slip the ball into the Belgian net.

8 mins: Matt Elliott heads just wide from a Craig Burley free kick.

10 mins: Another dangerous ball into the box by Burley only just evades the on-rushing Barry Ferguson.

16 mins: Joos Valgaeren sends Belgium's first effort on goal well wide of Neil Sullivan's post.

18 mins: Marc Wilmots sends a volley well wide.

19 mins: Mpenza mishits his left-foot shot from a good position, leaving Neil Sullivan untroubled.

23 mins: David Weir and Colin Hendry are forced to defend stoutly with the Belgians searching for an equaliser.

27 mins: David Weir makes a crucial interception as Mpenza and Wilmots cut through the Scottish defence.

29 mins: A Colin Hendry header is stopped on the line by Eric Deflandre's arm - Deflandre is ordered off and a penalty is awarded.

38 mins: A speculative volley by Hendrikx is easily dealt with by Neil Sullivan.

44 mins: Emile Mpenza heads wide with Colin Hendry putting him under pressure.

45 mins: Marc Wilmots hits the Scotland wall with a free kick from a potentially dangerous position.

49 mins: Dominic Matteo has a shot deflected wide for a corner kick after Don Hutchison was foiled inside the box.

52 mins: Don Hutchison sends a shot inches wide of the post from the edge of the box.

58 mins: Barry Ferguson hits his shot straight at De Vlieger from six yards out after Matteo had put him through.

59 mins: Marc Wilmots heads past Neil Sullivan to bring Belgium back into the game, with the Scottish marking leaving a lot to be desired.

69 mins: Marc Wilmots and Barry Ferguson clash, with both players appearing to aim kicks at each other, but the referee takes no action.

70 mins: Baseggio heads behind for a corner under pressure from Craig Burley after excellent play by Don Hutchison and Dominic Matteo.

75 mins: Vanderhaege makes a superb saving tackle with Craig Burley poised to slot the ball past De Vlieger.

83 mins: Emile Mpenza sends the ball wide of goal when in the clear - Belgian claims for a penalty, after Sullivan fouls the striker after his shot, are waved away.

89 mins: Bart Goor blasts the ball past the post from a good position as the Belgians seek an equaliser.

92 mins: Van Buyten seals a point for the Belgians with a superb flashing header deep into injury time.

Full time Referee Kim Nielsen brings an end to the game with Belgium delighted to have come back from two goals down to take a point.
