Plymouth Argyle Ladies 3-1 Collumpton Rangers Ladies

Plymouth Argyle

Plymouth Argyle Ladies will play in the FA Women's Premier League next season after securing promotion with a 3-1 win over Devon rivals Collumpton Rangers.

The Pilgrims' win extends their unbeaten run in the South West Women's Combination League.

Argyle went into the Rangers game knowing they needed just one point to go up, but the visitors took the lead on the half hour.

But goals from Laura Gough, Rachel Javan and Ellis Hillman sealed the win.

The first goal caught the hosts napping, but seven minutes later and Argyle were level.

A Laura Perrett corner was met by Gough, who was on hand to score from close in after a goalmouth scramble.

Argyle then took the lead on 55th minute, courtesy of Argyle winger Javan.

The Pilgrims third then came five minutes from time.

Leah Brooks sent a fine pass through to Hillman, who cut in from the right and fired in a powerful cross shot that gave the visiting keeper no chance.
