Everton expect tough Belles test

Everton Ladies
Everton's last trophy saw them beat Arsenal to lift the 2008 League Cup

Everton Ladies assistant boss Andy Spence says his side will face a tough Doncaster outfit when the teams meet in the Premier League Cup on Sunday.

The Blues, who last lifted the trophy in 2008, go into the match after a 3-1 victory over Blackburn on Tuesday.

"We have good memories of the League Cup," Spence told BBC Radio Merseyside.

"Doncaster are a good, strong team and have young international players as well. They will come out and make it a very difficult game for us."

Spence added: "It will be tough, but if you want to do well in competitions you've got to raise your game to the challenges that the opposition bring."

"Doncaster, like a lot of the other Premier League teams, will have players who will cause us problems if we don't treat them with the respect that they deserve."

Meanwhile, Liverpool face a trip to Manchester City in the Northern Division, with Tranmere also on the road as they play Scunthorpe United in the Northern Combination.
